GSO obtains ISO certification for the quality management system ISO 9001:2015
The Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) obtained the Quality Management System Certification in accordance with the requirements of the international Standard ISO9001:2015, as part of its relentless efforts to better cater for the needs of beneficiaries and achieve excellence and continuous improvement.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Nasser Al-Khusaibi, President of GSO, expressed his happiness on GSO obtaining the quality certification, stressing that this achievement represents a true culmination of the efforts exerted by GSO which aim at meeting the needs and expectations of beneficiaries, which falls within the framework of strategies and work of GSO.
His Excellency also pointed out the strategic dimension and pivotal role played in applying the principles of the quality management system at the institutional level within GSO in achieving its vision, mission and core values, which are at the forefront of meeting the expectations of beneficiaries and hence professionalism, excellence, transparency and integration with partners.
It is worthwhile noting that GSO pays great attention to the quality management system in ensuring the quality of services and activities it provides are in line with the best international practices in the field of management; bearing in mind that implementation of a quality management system in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2015 is considered an essential tool for continuous improvement; in addition to keeping pace with the basic pillars of the strategic plan of GSO for the years 2021-2025 regarding GSO pioneering role as a regional organization and achieving institutional excellence in order to comprehensively enhance and improve the quality and efficiency of services provided in all fields of standardization activities in the member states.
In conclusion, His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Nasser Al-Khusaibi expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the team responsible for this achievement and for the good preparation and documentation of the quality management system and its implementation internally in optimal ways which led to obtaining the certification, as GSO successfully passed the external audit process during the period 29 – 30 October 2023.
His happiness emphasized GSO’s aspiration and its endeavor to enhance and strengthen the system of excellence and improve internal processes through a number of strategic plan objectives in the field of information systems, knowledge, innovation and creativity.
