This Gulf standard specifies requirements for cast iron drain pipes and fittings spigot series (Hubless) without head or tail, manufactured by the sand cast or centrifugal cast (spun) processes, for sewage and rain water drainage purposes, where the installations will not be subjected to hydrostatic pressures greater than those specified in clause 7. Where pipes or fittings are ordered and supplied with some form of flexible joit, the requirements of this standard apply only to the body. This standard also covers crushing test, hydrostatic test and inspection method for the pipes and fittings.
