GSO 548:2022 Scope

This Gulf Standard is concerned with asphalt binder graded by Penetration for use in the construction of pavements. NOTE (1): For asphalt binders graded by viscosity at 60 °C, see Specification ASTM D3381/D3381M. For performance-graded asphalt binder, see Specification ASTM D6373. This Standard covers the following five penetration grades: 40 – 50 60 – 70 85 – 100 120 – 150 200 – 300 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee
