GSO 1183:2021 Scope

1.1 This Gulf standard is concerned with the requirements to be met in CLP Lubricating oils. 1.2 CLP lubricating oils are generally used in circular and splash lubrication systems in cases where a higher resistance against wear is required in the mixed–friction range and where surface damage (e.g. due to seizing or scuffing) as a result of overloading is to be prevented. 1.3 Lubricating oils CLP can also be used as hydraulic oils and general purpose lubricating oils or machine oils.
