GSO IEC 60141-4:2017 Scope
This standard specifies routine, special and type tests on single-core, radial field, oil-impregnated paper-insulated cables with skid wires intended for installation in a pipe filled with oil under pressure at pressures of between 1 000 kPa (10 bar) and 2 000 kPa (20 bar) (above atmospheric pressure) for use in a.c. transmission systems with nominal voltage between phases, not exceeding 400 kV.
Tests are also included on accessories and on complete installations, i.e. when the cables (and their accessories) have been installed and the pipe has been filled with oil and pressurized.
