GSO ISO 8691:2015 Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the vanadium content in the range of 0,4 mg/kg to 4,0 mg/kg in gas turbine fuels and domestic fuel oils by means of flameless atomic absorption spectrometry. NOTE 1 Fuel oils containing vanadium may cause operational difficulties in the presence of sodium, for example, when being burnt in boilers or used for the operation of gas turbines.
