GSO IEC 61197:2014 Scope

This standard describes a method for measurement of linear flame propagation along a glass-fibre tape impregnated with the insulating liquid to be tested. This test method is applicable to all insulating liquids, us ed and unused, with kinematic viscosity lower than or equal to 300 mm 2/s at 40 °C. Insulating liquids of higher viscosity may also be tested but should be heated before impregnation of the glass-fibre tape (see 6.2.3, note 1).
