This document specifies the minimum requirements for materials, surface preparation, application procedure and inspection/testing of external coating of splash zone of carbon steel risers pipes, their field joints and clamps/guides using an Elastomeric protective coating based on Poly-chloroprene (Neoprene). The document also specifies the requirements for transportation, handling and storage of pipes before and after surface preparation and coating application.
