GSO 506:1994 Scope
This Gulf standard describes a method for determination of vebe time of concrete of very low to low workability and applies to plain and air-entrained concrete made with light, normal or heavy weight aggregates having a nominal maximum size of 40 mm or less but not to aerated concrete, non-fines concrete which cannot be compacted by vibration alone.
This test is not suitable for concrete having a measured vebe time of less than 3 s or more than 30 s. This means if the vebe time is found to be out of this given range (less than 3 s and more than 30 s) by using this test method, the workability for this concrete mix shall be found by using another method.
