This Gulf standard specifies requirements for the production and use of organic fertilizers and soil conditioners derived from food waste, solid waste, and plants.

1.1 This standard excludes all wastes that pose a risk to public health, the environment, soil, or food safety. For further details on permitted, restricted, and prohibited wastes, please refer to the Annexes.

1.2 This standard applies to all parties involved in waste treatment and conversion into organic fertilizers, including producers, farmers, regulatory bodies, and organic certification bodies.
