:Objectives of the Visit

To strengthen cooperation with UNESCO, BIPM, OIML, and LNE in order to identify global best practices in scientific and legal metrology, support the development of the Gulf quality infrastructure, exchange technical expertise, and explore opportunities for partnerships and joint projects that contribute to advancing the standardization and metrology system in the GCC member states.


:Target Audience

The visit targets professionals working in the Metrology Department, with the participation of technical specialists from the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO), in addition to representatives from the member states concerned with scientific and legal metrology, with the aim of enhancing international cooperation and developing Gulf capabilities in the fields of measurement and calibration.0

The Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO), through the Gulf Standardization Training Center, intends to organize a technical study visit to international organizations specialized in scientific and legal metrology in Paris. This visit forms part of the Center’s training activities and aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the procedures and methodologies adopted in the development of international standards and metrology practices. It also seeks to enhance the regional measurement and quality infrastructure through the exchange of technical expertise and knowledge, and by transferring acquired experiences to the national standardization and metrology authorities in support of the development of national quality systems.
