ISO Development Guide for National Standardization Strategies (NSS)
Course Objectives
The training objectives are:
· Acquire capacity to apply ISO methodology for National Standardization Strategies (NSS), allowing the development of new ones and assessment or revision of existing ones.
· Identify different options to follow-up the implementation of the NSS.
· Design actions to take out the most from the NSS.
A successful workshop requires the active participation of the attendant, as it is full of group exercises.

Module 0: Introduction and opening of the workshop
- Introduction of the participants and revision of the objectives.

- Overview of the ISO Development Guide for NSS
Module 1. General Framework of the Strategy
- Overview of the ISO methodology for the development of National Standardization Strategies.
- Communicating the benefits of standardization.
- Identification of socio-economic priorities.

Module 2: Resources
- Adoption vs national development of standards
- Human Resources
- Exercise on resources calculation.
Module 3: Taking out most of the strategy
- Approval, follow-up and revision. for strategy implementation
- Management plan, how to monitor the implementation of the NSS
Module 4: Wrap-up, final remarks and takeaways
