Member Body User Administrators (MBUA)

Description

The course provides hands-on practical training in the use of ISO electronic services for Member Body User Administrators (MBUAs). The objective of the course is to provide trainees with the knowledge and skills to manage the tasks required of an MBUA. The main focus of the course is therefore the management of users and their roles in ISO TCs, SCs and WGs in the ISO Global Directory, including the setup and management of National Mirror Committees. The course also offers an overview of the different ISO eServices applications and ISO national solutions available to support member bodies in their national work.

Prerequisite

Participants must have a good understanding of English and basic knowledge of the organizational and procedural principles of ISO's technical work.

Objectives

The course aims to develop skills to understand

• ISO's organisational and procedural principles
• the role of MBUAs in the management of data in the ISO Global Directory
  • Understand the different type of roles
  • Manage user and role registration
  • Manage National Mirror Committees (NMCs)
  • Use Event Notification to access and personalize reports
• the different ISO eServices applications supporting the standardization work and how they fit together
  • Understand the electronic environment developed for ISO committee work (eCommittee)
  • Use electronic balloting portal to cast a vote and access ballot results
  • Use ISO Meeting Management to view all the Committee meetings
  • Use Project Portal to view project details and monitor project stages/progress
• the ISO national solutions available to support member bodies in their national work
  • Use NMC to disseminate ISO documents to national experts
  • Overview of ISO eServices applications available at national level (NTC, NPP)
  • Understand ISOlutions and its benefits to national members
• The use of WebEx to organize online meetings
• The use of ISOSTD to access and download ISO deliverables
• The use of ISODOC to access and download ISO policy documents and other general documents
