Introduction

This workshop was organized to achieve the following targets

  • Clarify the importance of standards in safety Appliance from electrical threats
  • Explain the benefits can be achieved from the industrial and commercial sectors adoption of electrical standardization
  • Involving the public and private (industrial, commercial and services) sectors in standardization policy and procedures
  • Demonstrate the electrical damages that threaten the society and reduce the occurrence percentage via applying the gulf and international standards
  • Plan to setup and execute procedures of conformity for items and electrical products with consideration of World Trade Organization (WTO) demands and the custom-commercial agreement applied in G.C.C
  • Demonstrate the Conformity Certificate systems for household equipments and IECEE Schemes
  • Demonstrate some samples for major safety requirements on household equipments
