GSO has put in place a strategic direction to build and develop the capabilities and skills of personnel engaged in standardization and its related activities for GSO and its Member States.
GSO conducts several specialized training programmes to fulfill the actual training needs of the National Standards Bodies of GSO Member States, and to be consistent with the overall direction of the training process.
GSO is also striving to prepare and qualify technical and specialized cadre through executing specialized Diploma courses in the various disciplines of standardarization in collaboration with the best international authorities in standardization and its related activities, namely ISO, CEN, BSI, ASTM, BAM, PTB, NPL, and TURKAK, as an example.
GSO is aiming through its training programmes at consolidating it strategic relations with the government and private sectors throughout the GCC, and to broaden its outreach to the targeted sectors to accomplish maximum benefits in all various industrial, commercial and services sectors. This with a view to provide for communication and exchange of experiences between all concerned to facilitate building the infrastructure for quality and to enhance the joint GCC action in standardization.
